Tomorrow I am going to see our Queen Beatrix. I am curious from how close (read: far) I will see her. ;)

Technology is great!! I know!! We can write these blogs on our Palms and send it by GPRS in a sec… The Crab roadwarrior way!!
But what if the next step is great, but not perfect?
I mean. I am sure I would love the PalmOne Treo 650 for sure! But oh no, it isn’t perfect. The 23MB usabable memory [check?] is absolutely stupid and the missing Wi-Fi is just a pity.
Right! Do I need all this? The Wi-Fi? No, it would be great to play with though. The memory? Oh yes!! My Tungsten T3 has about 58MB [check?] available and I am using a big part of it. Programs do not always load on SD-cards, so if you want to have programs on your 650 you could have a big problem :( I know about the problems I could get, because I read all forums I can find in any language I can read. ;)
But still: I really want it badly!! ;)

I was in Antwerp today. Abroad…
Yes, Belgium is really abroad for us, Dutchmen. It feels like home, but is still quite different… I like Antwerp. Like many others…
I think we like it so much because the people are friendly and warm, a little bit different from the people in The Netherlands. Okay, I am Dutch and love my homecountry, but Antwerp feels like a warm bath to me.

Oh yes, we’re talking the same dictionary where it all started with. About most dictionaries you don’t hear a word, but this one… ;)

While standing up this morning I heard about a group of people (seems to be the ‘Stichting Eer en Herstel Betalingen van Slachtoffers van de Slavernij in Suriname’?) that is complaining about a word or words in this ‘new’ Srananongo-Dutch dictionary. They were talking about the word ‘nikker’ (nigger) in it (it would be racist), different from ‘neger. They had a lawsuit before (about this ‘neger’), against the most authorative dictionary in The Netherlands, ‘De Grote Van Dale’.
To my opinion it is! But shouldn’t a dictionary give contemporary and historic meanings of words? Ofcourse it depends on the intention of the editors, I think. In this case it seems to be a bad/black, but historic page. They want it out….
To be honest I didn’t see the dictionary yet, but I ordered it. I still have to see what is writen there at the entry itself.

What to say when a kid asks you if he can go fishing with a friend? Especially when the kid is a veggie - like me…
Should I tell him? I don’t like the idea, but shouldn’t he think about it himself?!
Probably he is not aware that fishing is cruel too, whatever these ’sportsmen’ say… I hope he understands it himself…
Maybe I’ll tell him later…

Unbelievable what you can see on television… A program full of guys who are falling on their knees and while crying, ask their girlfriend to marry them.
