After reading about this I couldn’t stop laughing. I know it is a terrible personal tragedy, but at this age people should have developed at least some brains. They were ‘clever’ enough to think about how to get light into the pvc tubes to imitate the famous Star Wars light swords, the Lightsabre. They used petrol to put into the tubes and did light it for a duel.
The two, 20 and 17 years old, wanted to record the fight with a video camera, but are seriously wounded now after the tubes exploded.

The story here is different on some details because this Article at BBC is from a later date. Now I read it was a glass tube instead of pvc. But okay..
