In a (Dutch) survey the work of a refuse collector was very much undervalued. I second that.
The stupid thing is that we know better after a one or two day strike. We need these guys!

It is about the same with the people that clean our offices. They walk around your building very early in the morning, or in the afternoon. They are the ghosts that clean up your mess.
When I see them I talk to them and tell and show them that I respect them and what they do. Maybe just by saying “Hi” to them.
I am sure this makes a difference…
