” Yes, from Japan…”
” No, not to wash egg…..”
I knew Japanese love small and crazy things, but never saw this one before… It kind a funny and cute…
But washing more than 2 pairs underwear will be quite difficult…

In Israel and the rest of the Middle East hummus is a extremely populair main course or side dish.
It is one of my favorites of all time… With a pita or other good bread… And a glass of tea with nana (fresh mint)… Heaven…
Now in Israel there is discussion which hummus is kosher and which isn’t. Is there meat, fish or other possible non-kosher stuff involved? Not really…
Like in other religions some important things need to be made by Jews, like wine (for shabbat). Not because other people are not okay, but just to be sure that all religious rules are kept. They know why things are done like that.

Ken Livingstone (”Red Ken”), the mayor of London has a sick mind. I heard about this before, but now he has show it again.
The guy thinks and even has the guts to say that the terrorist attacts in London are different from attacks in Israel. If you say things like this you really must have a sick and twisted mind.
Oh yeah, right!! The bombings in London are unique… I heard comparing words like blitz, WWII. Even Churchill is mentioned quite often. Come on!!
The definition of terrorism is : violent action (individual or collective attack, taking of hostages, devastation) to demoralize the inhabitants to reach a (political or religious) goal. No word of French in this, right?!
Terrorism = Terrorism (and nothing else).
Read my lips: “The London bombings are a big tragegy, but for sure they are not unique.”
Keep it fair… Just keep the interest to the city of London, nothing else….
Or is this just why?! I have know ideas about the arab investements in London, but I thing they might be quite influencial. They don’t want to give Mohamed (Al-)Fayed, owner of Harrods since 1985, the Britsh citizenship, but like his money for sure…
Ok, Fayed may be dubious, but so is Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. In another way, but still…
But to get back to Red Ken. His Left Wing statements are not new. The guy has the proclivity to make wrong comparisons. His lip services to the wrong things are at least very inappropriate.
“The sick minded Livingstone, I presume?!”

“! # ¢ ¡ ×? ∑ ₪!!” is what you say when you smash your toe on the leg of the bed. At least, I would prefer these terms, because if I would follow the rulez here in Hague [Den Haag]…
Cursing is quite interesting, not only linguistic, but psychologic and anthropological for instance. I really love jargon, slang and curses for years now, and have different books about it. Italian, Japanese, American, etc.
Preferably not for direct use, but because of its form (read: sound) and background.
Years ago there was this great online dictionary with curses and slang form all over the world. I loved it.
Did find it back: The Alternative Dictionaries. It is still there: here.
Wow, this is old (internet) skool to me! ;-)
So the blog of Mark Liberman was a welcome one to point me back… ;-O

The Australian state of Victoria is going to repeal a 200-year-old law against witchcraft.
In about Dickens’ time witchcraft and fortune telling were considered a danger to law and order. The Pagan Awareness Network is quite happy about the coming decision.
Couldn’t they do magic earlier?

Only two days (!) after the official release of the new Harry Potter - HP and the Half-Blood Prince - the streets of India are filled with pirated copies of J.K. Rowling newest book.
Piracy is not okay, but `how do they do that?!`
