Berlin by Bike (BB)
Tuesday, August 2nd, 2005Last (long – including friday afternoon -) weekend I have been in Berlin with my girlfriend.
We liked it a lot!
We went there by train, which was a quite relaxing journey of about 6 and a half hours. You take some magazines, books, a thermos flask with tea and some food and sit down. You have time to listen music, talk a little, read a little, eat a little, drink a little…
For us Europeans, at least for me as a Dutch guy, a trip like this is medium long. Our country isn’t that big, so will take 4+ hours at the most to get from north to south by train.
Then you get off the the train in Berlin. The New Berlin. Dazzling…
A collegue of my girlfriend told her, before we went, that the transition for old to new was so great and gradual. Well, that depends on what type of specs you wear. I couldn’t see that.
The new building are big and magnificent and the old are just…eh…old…very old. But I like old… I really love to make pictures of rust, broken wood and broken glass windows.
