Don’t take me wrong. I am very sorry about the lost life’s of the asylum seekers in the cells of Amsterdam Airport. It is a serious tragedy what happened there.
But let the Vatican stay out of it!
The papal council for migration and tourism (yes, really! – for them it seems about the same) has been critical about the way that asylum seekers are treated on airports.
Maybe they are right, but if they know and can do better, why don’t they. They have space at the palaces at the Vatican and monasteries and convents and other places around the globe.
And they have the money, loads of money. But what they do is asking you to pray…
