We wrote about the iCat before as a new playmate.

Now a researcher in The Netherlands did a test with iCat in an assisted living centre for elderly people.
The test was less focussed on the technical site of the iCat, but more on the acceptance of the electronic cat. Did they want the cat in their close environment and did they manage to communicate with it.

Some results aren’t very surprising. Men liked iCat more than woman, except for women with experience with computer.
The most suprising outcome to my opinion was that a few liked iCat, but didn’t want one because they didn’t want to be looked at as pitiful.

If you like the cat, don’t bother what other people will think about you. They are just envious.
