Joran & Natalee (JN)

Monday, February 20th, 2006

I was planning to write something about this Van der Sloot – Holloway case, but Jeff Stanglin did quite a nice job in his blog. There is in fact nothing I could add to his comment.

From my [dutch] point of view nothing can bring back the life of you child in this case, no millions of dollars. So in any case I know about here, the parents become very quite and mourn about their loss in private.

Her mother started, together with these cable network guys, a real media circus, with treatening people, Aruba and so on.

Very cruel said: Maybe she is better of like this, far away from her mother.
With such a mother, you don’t need enemies.

I’ll pray for you, Natalee.

Danish Roses (DR)

Friday, February 17th, 2006

Iran is such a fun country, in fact like a lot of other (Arab) countries.
If they aren’t happy with something, they just give it another name and then it is something utterly different.

Of course, the Iranian people were very insulted by the Mo cartoons. But they like these little Danish pastries that are sweet and sooo nice.
We will call them Roses of Mohammed… Then they are utterly different.

It really doesn’t matter how you call it, it will always be a Danish pastry!

Old Bag (OB)

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

It is proven now that Madonna is an old bag. The likelyhood of a hernia increases the older you get. Now she has something like that. Shit happens!

Willie’s Back (WB)

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

Willy Nelson has always had this look… ;-) But came out of the closet this week, with a gay cowboy song. The songs “Cowboys are frequently secretly fond of each other” has been shelved for 20 years. Before about Willie @ us

Whistle Power (WP)

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

Sometimes your eyes fall on something you didn’t see before. In this case, yes and no.

But I heard it already. The loud and sharp sound of a whistle.

The strange thing about this whistle was it’s form. It didn’t have the hole for a little ball on it. Nothing of this all….

I was trying to watch it closely while the referee of the waterpolo game I was – compulsory – attending was walking up and down.

So even the whistles of referees evolves…

I’ll try to find a picture of this type to show you. I liked its streamlined form. This one is close, but the one I saw looked even better!

No Power Today (NPT)

Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

My last three articles (including this one) were written with a fountain pen, while waiting in the swimming pool.

I could have taken my superior Palm Treo 650 with it builtin keyboard and a nice little (and free!) blogging client (Ublog), my notebook (HP NX6110) with another blogging agent (ecto – with which I am not that happy with) on it or as a backup, my old Palm Vx with its almost full sized portable keyboard.

I decided to write by hand, on a writing pad. Not because it is efficient. It is not!

Just for the sake of writing by hand with one my nice Sheaffer fountain pens.

Sheaffers Blue/Black Skrip or ink looks so great on clear white paper! I have other colours too, like King’s Gold, Lavender and Peacock Blue, but I like the subtle contrast of Blue/Black.

I do really like fountain pens, you know.

Just mouth-watering….
