Those Days (TD)

headlite
You have those days. Days that seem to go allright, but flip like the leaf on a tree.
Yesterday (afternoon) was like that.

I had been at home all day and yet had to do some things.

Before leaving the house on my bike, I checked the detachable extra rear light of my bike. The batteries were corroded, so I threw it away.

I decided to do it with the fixed headlight only, till I dropped my bike while getting out of the door. Now my headlight was dead too!
I decided, against the law, to go without the lights.

LightHouses
Ypenburg is a remote spot, but still a part of the city of Den Haag, Netherlands. Next to the fact that it is quite quiet, there are nice artsy initiatives.

Last weekend a row of lighthouses appeared… They will travel further in a few weeks.

Art can be fun!

This weekend I went for walk with my girlfriend and her kids. We didn’t want to walk for nothing, so we decided to do some geocaching too. Just in case.

While walking we had to walk on the bicycle path for a short period. That’s not very difficult, because as you may know, our country is full of it.

The kids started a ‘game’. At first you think “hey, what are you doing?”, but after that I saw the joke of it and did see it from another point of view. I am sure I did the same when I was young…
Every person that drove by was greeted by a friendly ‘hello’ or ‘good afternoon’ and of course they wanted to know how many people would react.

I was surprised by the amount of people that drove past us, without saying anything.

To me this became a kind of social survey about how people react on a friendly game of kids, or in fact the greeting of a stranger.
The results were not really convincing and don’t give me a good feeling for the future. Sadly enough….

Look for more about Geocaching: here global and here NL

Wi-Fu (WF)

New history has been writen a few weeks, okay months, ago… And has been rewriten a few days ago. The great initiative FON has gotten backup from Google and Skype.

I am not thinking about the financial or technical stuff… I am happy to see that there are still initiatives that exist because of sharing. In this case you get something back, but okay.

FON makes it possible to have a Wi-Fi connection somewhere on the globe, because you share your connection at home too, as a Linus.
The Bills and Aliens I like less ;-), but in this world money is always involved.

You can count me in in the Foneros family, when the drivers for my router are ready. This is the Wi-Fu, Wireless Future!

But to all of you: SHARE!
(I am shure it won’t hurt you!)
