New Job

Thursday, April 13th, 2006

I know for a few weeks now that I will have a new job from May 1st on. After (just) a few month searching for work this is a great feeling.

Two days ago I attended a pre-work meeting, my first meeting within months. It was nice to see a lot of coming collegues already.
About 90% is female and the rest (of course) male. What is it that a job as a librarian attracts women more than men?

When I was studying Library Science, this was already the case and now while starting for the first time in a public library it is proven again.

What is this?
Being a libarian can be a sexy as you make it!!

Before Easter Book (BEB)

Monday, April 10th, 2006

One of the authors that accussed Dan Brown, writer of ‘The Da Vinci Code‘ of plagiarism is going publishing his newest book just before Easter. A few weeks after the start of this court case.

This is of course just a sheer accident.

Middle East Love Parade (MELP)

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

I did find the site of the Israeli Love Parade in Tel Aviv accidentaly, but read that last year 300.000 people were walking in the parade or watching it pass.

The original Berlin Love Parade was started as peace demonstration in 1989:

The Loveparade was originally established as a peace demonstration: On the 1st July 1989 150 ravers with two floats crossed over the Kurfürstendamm and demonstrated for „Peace, Happiness and Pancakes“. The underlying themes were disarmament, better understanding between peoples through music and a just distribution of food resources.

The youth of Israel needs this to release, because it is under constant high tension and pressure, day and night. So are the Palestian youth I guess, but other reasons I think.

I wonder what willl change if a Palestinian Love Parade will start, with youth dressed as terrorist suicide bombers, but in nice clothes of their own style and with their own populair music.

I would try to go there!

Material Kabbalah Girl (MKG)

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

Times that tickets for concerts were affordable are over, for a few years now.

Copycat Madonna is visiting The Netherlands coming September.

I don’t mind paying for a great live gag.
But the prices go from €67 to €98 for a ticket excluding reservation. Maybe normal prices for the US, but I think they are really ridiculous and this for a big part copied music and an old woman running over the stage in spandex. Max prices here are €50-60, not close to €100!

The black market will rise the price of the tickets even more.

For me you can stay in your Britisch mansion, Kabbalah Centre Girl!

Blog Techno (BT)

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

I am not the guy that is into the technology. I just like to write about the things that I am interested in and that touch me in what way or another.

The nice thing about new technologies like Internet and blog is the fact that anyone can read what you are thinking about.

At least, if they can find you…

One of the most important or at least one of the biggest search engines for “all” published blogs that are linked to it.
If the technology works.

For sure we have things to say that may interest you. Still there is, at least through Technorati, no way to find our great articles.
Our so called ‘pings‘ are days or maybe even weeks old now. Others didn’t have the Technorati robot to visit them for weeks or even months.

We just want you to read what we write!

Should we ban Technorati?!
