RamBam

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

Rambam is the short for Moses ben Maimon (Maimonides), one of the most important and influencial scholars in Judaism. As being a doctor, philosopher and rabbi, his shining thoughts were very diverse.

While being in Eindhoven a while ago I did see this logo of a store called RamBam. I liked the logo. The building was still being renovated and I made a not that good picture. I am glad my longtime friend Monique could make me a proper one. Thanx! :)

Orange is nice :-D

Orange is not my most favorite colour (for that, look here), but I think its very nice in this picture. But that’s what I think…

I hope you like it too! Even while it is rust, loads (and I mean loads!) of rust! :-D

Weather Alarm

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

Weather Alarms (read: warning) are new to us… But all sorts of ALARM are new to us, I must say. Two weeks ago we had our first Strong Wind Alarm.

Okay, we had a little more snow that average. The average is about 0,5 cm high. Today it would have been about 2 cm, I think… It is almost gone already… That’s the back side of it. It is a wet mess now.

Snow

Forgot to tell you. Talked about it before. I did get my new Panasonic DMC-FX3 two days ago. I like it! It makes good quality pix at 2:3, 4:3 or 16:9 and looks great too!

Warm Welcome

Cam shopping

Friday, February 2nd, 2007

The person that says that buying new techno toys is easy is lying.

Comparing specs, prices and shops is almost a full time job for the last few days.

I brought back my selection to two digitak mini camera’s: the Canon Ixus 65 (Canon PowerShot SD630 in US) and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX3

I had the last one at home, but did bring it back today for two reasons. The first one is that it didn’t feel good already yesterday, when I bought it. 4 mm to thick compared to the Canon.
Secondly I did find out that I could have the same camera from another shop for 70 (read: SEVENTY!!) euro less. Enough reason to bring it back.

I can’t decide yet, but tomorrow the difference in price will make the change, I think. Specs are about the same.

I got help (for specs and prices that is): DP Review rulez BIG TIME! For years now…
