It isn’t even a major item at the CNN Health pages, but in the rest of the US this is headline news: Killer Spinach!

My Internet service provider (ISP) is swithing from normal ‘grey’ energy to sustainable energy.

I am sure XS4ALL is one of the first providers in the world to implement it.

As you can read in the press release the datacenter uses about the same amount of 1000 (!) [Dutch] family homes. Next to switching to sustainable energy XS4ALL will start using water cooling to go to an increase of energy consumption by 30%.

A good and healthy Internet doesn’t stop at your front door!

For my great home made vegetarian chow mein (’bami’ in Dutch) I needed different vegetables. Leek, unions AND legumes among other things. Legumes are absolutely great in chow mein, because of the bite. My chow mein looks about like this.

When opening the package I did see the country of origin of the legumes. There were from the other side of the world: Guatemala! And this for about € 1,50!

I really grant the people in Guatemala to earn their money, but my question is what they will get for the vegetables they grow.
It can’t be much.

It’s a shame!

Greenpeace is, besides to their concern for our environment, very concerned about our sexlife!! You wouldn’t think this of them…

The local Dutch branch of the environmental lobby organisation has had some adult toys tested by a major laboratory (TNO). The laboratory did find out that most of these toys for girls and boys contained the softening agent phthalates in high concentrations, 21 to 51 percent (!).

This is very much NOT HEALTHY!
